Repeater Icom IC-FR6200H menggunakan power amplifier berkinerja tinggi, bersama dengan heatsink solid yang terpasang pada sasis, seri IC-FR6200H memberikan output 50W pada operasi siklus kerja 100%. Tidak diperlukan kipas pendingin internal.
Dengan pengontrol eksternal, Icom IC-FR6200H dapat digunakan dalam sistem trunking digital Mode 3 dPMR. Sejumlah kecil saluran komunikasi secara otomatis dan dinamis dialokasikan untuk mengakomodasi sejumlah besar pelanggan. Situs trunking dapat saling berhubungan melalui jaringan IP.
Icom IC-FR6200H menerima dan memancarkan kembali sinyal radio dengan sangat kuat untuk membantu memperluas jangkauan komunikasi dan mempertahankan kualitas suara jernih.
